MAX PITTION

Founded in 1921 in Oyonnax, in the Jura region of France.
Oyonnax is known as a hub for comb manufacturing. When celluloid became popular, Max Pittion converted his father's comb factory into an eyewear factory, "Pittion Lunetterie," and established the brand.

With a commitment to quality and unique coloring, the brand grew into a world-class eyewear manufacturer in a single generation. Max Pittion was also involved in the founding of "SILMO," one of the world's largest international eyewear trade fairs, and left a significant impact on the subsequent eyewear industry.

In the 1960s and 70s, the sophisticated designs of MAX PITTION gained popularity among artists and actors, earning global recognition. However, at the height of its success, the brand announced a temporary hiatus.

In 2023, his son, Bernard Pittion, entrusted the revival of the brand to Tommy Ogara of The LIGHT Co., who has faithfully recreated the original designs.
Since then, artisans in Sabae, Fukui, Japan, have been collaborating with a French team to produce the highest quality eyewear.
