A Boston-shaped acetate frame with distinctive, sharply defined brow lines reminiscent of a mountain ridge.

At first glance, its bold design makes a strong impression, but the lenses are deliberately given a slightly drooping shape to soften the expression. When worn, the frame never feels overpowering, instead blending naturally with your features thanks to its carefully considered balance.

A television cut around the lenses creates a sense of dimension and depth as the light catches the frame. Even in its simple construction, the meticulous attention to detail is unmistakable.

The temples are designed to be slightly slimmer than those of previous models, lending the frame a lighter overall look while ensuring a more precise fit and greater wearing comfort.

The hinges are made of brass, a material often used in vintage eyewear. The way it develops character with wear is another pleasure unique to this model.

The French Beer Dark acetate features a rich brown base with nuanced depth that shifts with the light. Less stark than black and more subdued than Cinnamon, this balanced colorway combines a bold design with a natural fit against the skin.

Patterns and colours may vary slightly between individual frames and from the images shown.

About the brand
Brand logo
Founded in 1921 in Oyonnax, in the Jura region of France. Oyonnax was known for its comb production, and as celluloid became popular, Max Pittion converted his father's comb factory into an eyewear factory called "Pittion Lunetterie" and established the brand.

With a commitment to quality and unique coloring, he grew the company into a global eyewear manufacturer within a single generation. He was also involved in the founding of "SILMO," one of the world's largest international eyewear trade fairs, leaving a significant impact on the eyewear industry.

In the 1960s and 70s, MAX PITTION's sophisticated designs gained popularity among artists and actors, achieving global recognition, but the brand announced a hiatus at the height of its popularity.

In 2023, his son, Bernard Pittion, entrusted the revival of the brand to Tommy Ogara of The LIGHT Co., Ltd., to faithfully reproduce the original designs.

Since then, craftsmen in Sabae, Fukui, Japan, have been working in collaboration with a French team to produce the highest quality eyewear.
