The "LE CHAT" is a cat-eye model with an impressive sharp browline that lifts the eyes.

While cat-eye shapes can often lean feminine, this model maintains ample vertical lens height and features bold, voluminous rims, giving it a strong look that avoids being overly sweet. As a result, it has an exquisite balance that allows not only women but also men to incorporate it naturally into their style.

The upper front features a bold cut, while the temples are intentionally given width to add depth and presence to the profile. Its appeal lies in its elegant yet distinctly avant-garde aura.

The temples are designed to be slightly slimmer than those of the previous model, giving the overall frame a lighter appearance while achieving a more precise fit and greater comfort.

The hinges are made of brass, a material commonly found in vintage eyewear. The way they develop a richer character with use is one of the unique pleasures of this model.

The tortoiseshell acetate features beautiful, distinct mottling that changes expression depending on how the light hits it, creating a rich sense of depth. The result is a pair of glasses that feels classic yet possesses a distinctive individuality.

Patterns and colours may vary slightly between individual frames and from the images shown.

About the brand
Brand logo
Founded in 1921 in Oyonnax, in the Jura region of France. Oyonnax was known as a hub for comb manufacturing, and with the rise of celluloid, Max Pittion converted his father's comb factory into an eyewear factory called "Pittion Lunetterie" and established the brand.

Dedicated to quality and unique coloring, he grew the company into a world-class eyewear manufacturer in a single generation. He was also involved in the founding of "SILMO," one of the world's largest international eyewear trade fairs, leaving a significant mark on the eyewear industry.

In the 1960s and 70s, MAX PITTION's sophisticated designs gained popularity among artists and actors, earning global recognition. However, at the height of its popularity, the brand announced a temporary hiatus.

In 2023, his son, Bernard Pittion, entrusted the revival of the brand to Tommy Ogara of The LIGHT Co., Ltd., faithfully recreating the original designs.

Since then, Japanese artisans in Sabae, Fukui, have been collaborating with the French team to produce the highest quality eyewear.
