Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) set out the conditions for using the online store (the “Site”) operated by DOWNTOWN (the “Store”). Customers using the Site (“Users”) must agree to these Terms.

Article 1 — Scope

These Terms apply to all matters relating to the use of the Site between Users and the Store.

Article 2 — Registration

  1. Users may apply for registration in the manner specified by the Store. Registration is complete when approved by the Store.
  2. The Store may refuse registration if the application contains false information; the applicant has previously had their registration cancelled for violating these Terms or similar reasons; or the Store otherwise considers registration inappropriate.

Article 3 — Prohibited conduct

Users must not engage in any of the following when using the Site:

  • Conduct that violates laws or public order and morals
  • Conduct related to criminal activity
  • Infringement of the rights of other Users or third parties
  • Interference with the Store’s operations
  • Registration of false information
  • Transmission of computer viruses or similar harmful content
  • Other conduct deemed inappropriate by the Store

Article 4 — Purchases

  1. Users may purchase the Store’s products through the Site.
  2. A sales contract is formed when the Store sends an email confirming the order details.
  3. We ship within Japan and to overseas countries and regions available at checkout. Please see our Shipping Policy for shipping methods, charges, and the handling of customs duties and other import charges. If your destination is not available, please contact us before purchasing.

Article 5 — Payment

Users must pay for products using a payment method specified by the Store, such as credit card, bank transfer, convenience-store payment, or QR payment. Any payment processing fees or similar charges are the User’s responsibility.

Article 6 — Returns, exchanges and cancellations

  1. We take every care with product quality. If you receive a defective item, an incorrect item, or work that differs from your order, please contact us, preferably within 7 days of receiving the product. We will review the issue and respond promptly. This contact period does not limit your statutory rights.
  2. As a general rule, we do not accept returns, exchanges or cancellations for a change of mind or other customer-related reasons.
  3. Product colours and textures may look different depending on your viewing environment.

Article 7 — Copyright and intellectual property

Copyrights, trademarks and other intellectual property rights in all images, videos, text, designs, logos and other content on the Site belong to the Store or their legitimate third-party owners. Unauthorised copying, republication, modification and redistribution are prohibited.

Article 8 — Disclaimer

  1. The Store does not guarantee the accuracy or safety of the Site’s content.
  2. The Store is not liable for damages arising from communication conditions or system failures.
  3. The Store is not liable for damages arising from discontinued products or price changes.

Article 9 — Changes to or suspension of services

The Store may change the content of the Site or temporarily suspend or terminate its operation without prior notice.

Article 10 — Changes to these Terms

The Store may amend these Terms without prior notice to Users when it considers it necessary. Amended Terms take effect when posted on the Site.

Article 11 — Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are interpreted and applied in accordance with Japanese law. Any dispute concerning use of the Site is subject to the exclusive agreed jurisdiction of the Japanese court with jurisdiction over the Store’s location.

Article 12 — Personal information and Shopify

This Site is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes personal information when you visit and make purchases on the Site and provides enhanced services, including product improvements, targeted advertising and personalisation, using information from your interactions with this Store, other merchants and Shopify.

To provide these services, your information may be transmitted to and shared with Shopify and other third parties, including those located outside your country of residence. For details about these practices, required consent, cookie choices, opting out of sharing and your rights, please see our Privacy Policy, Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal. Agreement to these Terms does not replace any separate consent to the processing of personal information required by applicable law.
