M3100-i col.PW-MBK
The "M3100-i" combines the inner rim with MATSUDA's round frame "M3100" as its base.
This model features a thick titanium rim that creates a sense of high strength and substantiality. By layering the cell parts from the inside, the finish further highlights its three-dimensional quality and depth.
The front and temples feature delicate engravings of the "M+N" motif, which symbolizes MATSUDA. Furthermore, by manually adding color, the contrast between the texture of the metal and the decoration stands out, creating a beauty that is almost like jewelry.
Color PW-MBK combines an elegant palladium white metal with matte black cell parts.
The clean feel of silver tones and the sharp impression of black coexist, making the classic round shape look even more modern.
Despite its highly decorative design, it is a well-balanced pair that also possesses the lightness unique to titanium.
It is a special model that allows you to enjoy MATSUDA's signature meticulous craftsmanship and quiet power.
Patterns and colours may vary slightly between individual frames and from the images shown.

About the brand +
Drawing on the aesthetic sensibilities cultivated as a fashion designer, the brand fuses classic, avant-garde, and architectural elements. By combining highly advanced craftsmanship by skilled Japanese artisans with carefully selected materials such as titanium and acetate, MATSUDA creates eyewear with the meticulousness of art pieces and an overwhelming presence.
The brand is characterized by delicate metalwork and a profound, three-dimensional structural expression. Its original designs, reminiscent of Victorian culture, Art Deco, and even steampunk, have earned high acclaim worldwide not merely as vision correction devices, but as “wearable art pieces.”
In the 1990s, the brand gained strong support overseas after being worn by Hollywood movie stars and renowned artists. Its unique worldview and overwhelming sculptural beauty captivated many celebrities and fashion icons, propelling the name MATSUDA to global recognition.
Although the brand was temporarily suspended afterward, it was revived in 2011 by a new design team. While inheriting the philosophy and craftsmanship established by Mitsuhiro Matsuda, it now develops collections that incorporate contemporary sensibilities.
Unswayed by the times or trends, MATSUDA continues to uphold its unique aesthetic. Its eyewear, a fusion of Japanese craftsmanship and fashion culture, continues to captivate eyewear enthusiasts around the world.
