A metal frame that reinterprets the classic oval shape through the MATSUDA lens for a modern perspective.
The front rim features decorative details inspired by clip-on sunglasses, adding an exquisite accent to the minimalist design.
The temples are adorned with Art Deco-style engravings on the top, side, and bottom surfaces, lending a jewelry-like elegance that gracefully enhances the profile of the wearer.
Combining a classic, refined antique silver finish with MATSUDA’s signature delicate engravings, this piece exudes a sophisticated sense of luxury.

About the brand +
Drawing on the aesthetic sensibilities cultivated during his career as a fashion designer, Matsuda fuses classic, avant-garde, and architectural elements. By combining highly sophisticated craftsmanship by skilled Japanese artisans with carefully selected materials such as titanium and acetate, the brand creates eyewear with the meticulousness of art pieces and an overwhelming presence.
The brand is defined by its delicate metalwork and substantial, three-dimensional structural expression. Its original designs, reminiscent of Victorian culture, Art Deco, and even steampunk, have earned high acclaim worldwide not merely as vision correction devices, but as “wearable art pieces.”
In the 1990s, the brand gained widespread support overseas after being worn by Hollywood movie stars and renowned artists. Its unique worldview and overwhelming sculptural beauty captivated many celebrities and fashion icons, propelling MATSUDA to global fame.
Although the brand was temporarily suspended afterward, it was revived in 2011 by a new design team. While carrying on the philosophy and craftsmanship established by Mitsuhiro Matsuda, it now develops collections that incorporate contemporary sensibilities.
Unswayed by the times or trends, MATSUDA continues to uphold its unique aesthetic. Its eyewear, a fusion of Japanese craftsmanship and fashion culture, continues to captivate eyewear enthusiasts around the world.
