The "1096" is a metal frame inspired by the pinnacle of dress watches.

Details of the temples and various parts are sampled from the forms of watch cases, buckles, and dials, and reconstructed into eyewear. A defining feature of this model is that it does not merely use these as motifs, but incorporates them directly into the sculptural form itself.

The edges of the rim wire are particularly striking. To recreate the sharp, angular look characteristic of watches, we have pursued the ultimate sharpness with a 0.1mm corner radius. The delicate yet dignified silhouette brings a quiet tension to the face.

Col. 819 features a distressed gold finish. The texture, reminiscent of aged metal, adds a sense of warmth to the precise form. It is a piece that is neither overly flashy nor understated, but one that possesses a distinct presence.

Bringing the aesthetic of a watch to a metal frame.
This is a piece unique to EYEVAN 7285, where intention is felt in every detail.

About the brand
Brand logo
A collection line that carries on the philosophy of EYEVAN, Japan-born fashion eyewear, drawing on its archives and the latest technology to create glasses that feel truly beautiful today.

Made in Sabae, Fukui Prefecture—one of the world’s leading eyewear-producing regions—each pair is crafted individually by a select group of highly skilled artisans through nearly 400 processes. The subtle artistry of handwork, woven into both the structure and form of designs that appear simple at first glance, brings together refinement and exceptional comfort.

EYEVAN was founded in 1972 around the concept of “wearable glasses,” and made its global debut in 1985 through a select shop in Los Angeles. The brand name “7285” pays tribute to these two years, ’72 and ’85.

In 2013, EYEVAN 7285 was launched as a project to reinterpret this spirit and its extensive archive of technical drawings for the modern age.
