02 — THE DESIGN OF MOLINO
MOLINO: An Iconic JMM Signature Model
The MOLINO is a long-standing staple in the JMM collection. It is widely regarded by the brand as "An Icon of JMM" and remains one of their most popular models.
Named after the Italian architect and designer Carlo Mollino, this model is defined by its horizontal, rectangular shape that evokes the spirit of the 1960s.
It features a linear brow line combined with a contour featuring slightly rounded edges. Despite the thickness of the frame, the shape is classic and balanced, making JMM’s signature presence easy to integrate into everyday style.
Thick Acetate and Meticulous Details
Crafted from 10mm-thick acetate, the frame features finely beveled edges along the front. Depending on the angle of the surface, the way light reflects changes, accentuating the frame's silhouette and depth.

The frame features unique metal hardware, including arrowhead accents at the front, rivets on the temples, and custom hinges. The JMM aesthetic is evident not only in the front shape but also in the side profiles and interior details.
03 — COLOR & SIZE
Four MOLINO styles, transformed by color and size.
Even within the same MOLINO model, the impression can shift significantly depending on color depth, transparency of the acetate, and lens combinations. Here, we introduce the Noir15, Lescot, and Etna in size 51, and the Breccia in size 55.
COLOR 01
MOLINO col.Noir15
Size: 51□19-144
Glossy black with subtle inner character.
"Noir15" is the perfect choice for experiencing the clean lines of the MOLINO. The glossy black finish highlights the beauty of the horizontal rectangular shape and the three-dimensional surfaces.

Notice the inside of the temples: the black exterior is layered over a tortoiseshell-patterned acetate. While subtle from the front, it reveals a playful, hidden detail when you view them from the side or hold them in your hand.
The lenses are "BRASS GRADIENT," a brown-based tint. Adding a warm, calm tone to the sharpness of the black keeps the sunglasses from feeling too stark.
Recommended for those who want a glossy black base but also appreciate thoughtful details like inner patterns and lens color. This versatile pair fits everything from jackets to T-shirts, making it perfect for daily wear.

MOLINO col.Lescot
Size: 51□19-144
Substantial thickness, light in impression.
For those who want a frame with presence but a softer vibe, look to the "Lescot." This color features a striking, smoky brown reminiscent of khaki.

This color features a gradient that gradually becomes more transparent from the top of the frame to the bottom. While the upper section defines the silhouette, the transparency at the bottom lets light through, giving the thick MOLINO a lighter feel.
The "lightness" here refers not to weight, but to visual impression. The beauty of this color lies in the ability to enjoy both a substantial construction and a soft, airy tone through the transparency of the acetate. The brown-tinted lenses also maintain the gentle, harmonious tone of the overall piece.
A shade that pairs beautifully with beige, olive, or ecru. It is an essential color to consider—not just for those looking for something different from black, but also for those wanting to try a thicker frame for the first time.

MOLINO col.Etna
Size: 51□19-144
Deep tortoiseshell with a subtle touch of green.
At a glance, it appears as a calm, dark color. "Etna" is defined by the reddish-brown hues that emerge from within. Based on a deep, near-black shade, the variations unique to the tortoiseshell pattern give it character.

The tortoiseshell pattern here doesn't scream with bright browns. While it maintains a sharp, refined impression from a distance, the layering of colors becomes apparent up close. This subtle evolution perfectly complements the classic MOLINO shape.
The Etna we are featuring is paired with very pale "super light green" lenses. With a transparency that allows the eyes to be seen, this specification allows for a softer expression while retaining the full presence of the frame.
Recommended for those who want to incorporate JMM in a way that feels different from dark sunglasses, or for those who want to add a subtle hint of color and pattern to a simple outfit. It’s a pair that draws you in with its combination of deep tortoiseshell and pale, airy lenses.

MOLINO 55 col.Breccia
Size: 55□19-144
Bright tortoiseshell and blue. Enjoying a larger size.
For those who love color contrast, "Breccia" pairs bright tortoiseshell with blue lenses. Here, we present the "MOLINO 55," which features a larger lens width than the standard MOLINO.

The material has a certain transparency, where dark sections and light-transmitting areas overlap within the bright brown. Unlike the deep, calm Etna, Breccia is a color that celebrates the brightness of the pattern itself. Pairing this with blue lenses adds a fresh touch to the classic tortoiseshell.
Also, while the other three pairs have a lens width of 51mm, this one is 55mm. It allows you to enjoy the MOLINO's signature square shape with a more generous balance. Beyond the color, we invite you to pay attention to how the size affects the overall look.
This is a great candidate for those looking for sunglasses that act as an accent to their outfit, or for those seeking a more relaxed fit. We also recommend pairing them with casual staples like white shirts or denim to really let the colors pop.
