Dua Lipa Wearing JMM | DEALAN 53 and ANN: Three Styling Examples
JACQUES MARIE MAGE (JMM) is an eyewear brand founded in Los Angeles in 2014. It is known for its thick acetate, intricate metal detailing, and limited-production runs. One artist who incorporates JMM into her everyday style is Dua Lipa.
Photos show her wearing the DEALAN 53 Venom, as well as the ANN Amarena and the DEALAN 53 Willow. We will briefly review Dua Lipa's career, then introduce the shapes, colors, and related models available at our store.
Who is Dua Lipa? A British artist representing dance-pop
Dua Lipa is a singer-songwriter born on August 22, 1995, in London, UK. She was born into an Albanian family with roots in Kosovo. She is known for her low, powerful voice and pop music incorporating disco and dance music.
The song "New Rules" from her 2017 debut album, *Dua Lipa*, became a global hit. Her 2020 follow-up, *Future Nostalgia*, featured "Don't Start Now" and "Levitating," among others. Music that emphasizes the bass and rhythm, combined with dance-focused performances, has become her signature style.

"Dance The Night" (2023) from the *Barbie* movie soundtrack is another one of her signature songs. She has won three Grammy Awards: Best New Artist in 2019, Best Dance Recording for "Electricity," and Best Pop Vocal Album for *Future Nostalgia* in 2021. She has also won seven Brit Awards.

In addition to her stage outfits, her everyday use of sunglasses is also noteworthy. In these photos, she pairs JMM with casual items such as a cardigan, a striped top, and a black shirt. Looking at the combinations of clothing and glasses reveals the distinct personality of each model.
DEALAN 53 Venom | Green lenses on a black frame
One of the most recent examples of her wearing JMM is the DEALAN 53 Venom. She wore them with white and navy clothing at New York's JFK Airport.
In the photo, she layered a dark cardigan over a white top and paired it with a red, white, and navy striped bag. Her look was sharpened by thick-rimmed black sunglasses. The slightly upswept front at the outer corners added definition to her soft knit outfit.
A signature early JMM model inspired by music
DEALAN is a model inspired by the sunglasses Bob Dylan wore in the 1960s. It was also included in JMM's first collection in spring 2015. Based on a square lens shape, it incorporates cat-eye elements that slightly upsweep at the outer corners.
The DEALAN 53 is a model that lets you enjoy this shape in a generous size. The official dimensions of the Venom are 53 mm lens width, 22 mm bridge width, and 147 mm temple length. The front, made from 10 mm thick acetate, shows its thickness not only from the front but also when viewed from an angle.
The Venom features a combination of black frames and emerald-colored lenses. The arrowhead-shaped pins at both ends of the front are finished in dark gold. The strength of the black rims is enhanced by the green of the lenses and the shine of the metal, making the differences in color more apparent the closer you look. This colorway is offered as a limited edition of 300 pieces.

Our DEALAN Etna features a tortoiseshell pattern and a smaller size
The related model available at DOWNTOWN is the DEALAN col.Etna. Unlike the color Dua Lipa wore, this deep brown tortoiseshell pattern features reddish-brown markings between the darker areas, adding warmth to DEALAN's angular shape.
The size listed on our site is 50□20–142. Compared to size 53, the lens width on one side is 3 mm smaller, the bridge width is 2 mm smaller, and the temples are 5 mm shorter. This allows you to wear DEALAN's signature upswept line in a more compact balance.
In addition to the arrowhead on the front, the inner metal core is also noteworthy. The thin engraved metal visible through the translucent material, combined with the tortoiseshell pattern, creates subtle details even when viewed from the side.

ANN Amarena | An elongated silhouette in deep red
Another model and colorway that could be confirmed is the ANN Amarena. In a photo from her stay in Copenhagen in May 2026, she wore them with a black-and-white striped top. In addition to a feature by eyewear specialty store sunglasscurator, JMM President's June 4 post also identified them as "Ann in Amarena."
In this close-up photo, the elongated shape of the frame and the reddish lenses are clearly visible. The subdued red adds a single point of color to the black-and-white stripes, creating a combination that does not use too many colors.

Rounded front and the three-dimensional effect of thick rims
ANN is an elongated rectangular style inspired by late 1990s fashion. It features a softly rounded silhouette and rims that add volume at the outer corners. Because the vertical height of the lenses is reduced, the thick frames do not cover too much of the face, highlighting the horizontal line.
We also carry this ANN col.Amarena. Amarena features deep cherry-red frames paired with lenses in a similar shade. Depending on the light, it can look like a subdued color close to black or a glossy shade with hints of red and purple.
The front is made from 10 mm thick acetate. The contrast between the rounded finish on the surface and the retained thickness at the outer corners creates smooth shadows. The appeal of ANN lies not only in the bold red color but also in this combination of roundness and thickness.
Opening the temples reveals intricate metal components such as seven-piece hinges and stamped rivets. Amarena features dark gold-finished metal cores and hinges. The transparent outer layer of the temples allows the metal core to show through, creating a contrast between the soft shape of the front and the linear metal detailing on the sides and inside.
The official size is 52□20–143, with a lens height of 32 mm. Amarena is a limited edition of 200 pieces. This model allows you to enjoy not only the red color of the frames but also the finish of the metal components and the interior structure.

She also wore the DEALAN 53 Willow
During our research, we also confirmed the DEALAN 53 Willow. A post by JMM President featuring examples of her wearing JMM in June and July 2026 included a photo of Dua Lipa and the color name.
Although it is the same DEALAN 53 as the Venom, Willow combines black frames with deep brown lenses. The arrowhead on the front is sterling silver. This differs in detail from the Venom, which has green lenses and dark gold detailing.
In the photo, she pairs them with a black shirt, matching the black frames. The brown lenses add a subtle warmth, while the silver pins catch the light. Even though the shape is the same, changing the color of the lenses and metal alters the impression. Comparing the two examples of her wearing the DEALAN 53 clearly illustrates the difference.
Willow is offered as a limited edition of 500 pieces. At the time of our research, we could not find any product listings for the DEALAN 53 Willow or Venom in our online store.
This time, we were able to confirm the model and color with photos for three examples: DEALAN 53 Venom, ANN Amarena, and DEALAN 53 Willow. Although there are other articles featuring JMM worn by artists, no additional materials identifying new models were found during this research.
